The Spa Life Team loved our visit to the Spa in the Country at Misty Hills. For our full write-up on the spa, click here.
The Spa Life Team enjoyed a pedicure, a back, neck and shoulder massage and an express facial. All the treatments were wonderful.
Back, neck and shoulder massage
A great massage from an attentive and well-trained therapist. At R300 for 30 minutes, we felt that this treatment was well-priced and great value for money. Our tired muscles really enjoyed some time to unwind and relax.
The therapist used a local product line which we have not tried before, called Eco Naturals. Although this was only a 30 minute facial and as an express facial did not include a steam, the treatment itself included two different exfoliations which was divine. Our dry winter skin was left feeling hydrated and refreshed.
We had classic conditioning pedicures and they included the traditional foot soak, scrub, foot file and nail buff and polish. We chose bright Spring colours, to counter the gloomy weather outside and let our thoughts wander as the therapists worked away at turning our tired toes into gorgeous feet. A great pedicure all round!
The only thing we did not like about the pedicure was that whilst having our other treatments, there had been pillows under our feet, those same pillows were then placed under our heads while the therapists worked on our feet. No towels were placed over these pillows so we had to wonder how many other people’s feet had already been where we were now laying our heads!
All in all, the treatments were great and we were relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards!
